12 years ago today, Mike and I stood in the treatment room of what would become Western Veterinary Group and toasted to a future with coffee cups of cheap champagne. I share that image on April 1 of every year because it is one of my favorite moments together, and it makes me smile to think about. Mike and I anticipated that there would be ups and downs, but the way the past two years have played out is completely beyond the realm of anything we ever could have considered. W...e lost Mike just shy of WVG’s 10th anniversary and were immediately blessed with the best of humanity. The pureness of human spirit and love that showed up in every form imaginable uncovered the light beyond the darkness. Our WVG family of veterinarians, technicians, front desk faces, support staff and clients came together and rebuilt bringing Mike right along with us. Today, we find ourselves facing COVID-19. But WVG continues to stand strong. I am intensely proud of our team - thank you for being a living, breathing example of everything exceptional in a world that feels so uncertain right now. And I am beyond grateful to our client family - thank you for continuing to trust in WVG and allowing us the privilege of caring for the ones you love. We can’t mark our 12-year anniversary with the annual festivities, but we don’t need a taco station and balloons to celebrate everything Western Vet Group is and will continue to be. From champagne in coffee cups to social distancing in the parking lot and everything in between, thank you for being part of the journey then, now, and tomorrow and for always keeping Mike’s spirit and legacy alive. Stay safe. Stay well. Love, Shanna

Our sincerest apologies for the late notice change of hours. We will be reaching out to our clients to adjust any appointments scheduled outside of these hours. As always, we thank you for your understanding during these challenging times.

To our beloved extended WVG family, I hope that each and every one of you are staying well and taking care of yourselves. We remain open to our clients at this time. In accordance with the recommendations from the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) we are limiting our services to sick patients and essential services. Our goal is to remain open, protect both our staff and clients' health, preserve precious medical equipment including personal protection equipment, ...alcohol, and basic medical supplies, and to be able to properly care for sick pets. As you know we have already altered the way we are seeing patient's and our daily business, in an effort to decrease any spread of Covid-19. We ask that you continue to work with us and be patient during this time. We appreciate your loyalty and understanding during these difficult and unsettling times. Best, Dr. Reikes & Your Western Veterinary Group Care Team

Acupuncture success story! Dr. Veit performed acupuncture on 18 year old E.T. when he was recovering from a stroke. He has gone from a dog that was vocalizing[crying out], not eating unless syringe fed, and not walking to a dog that is eating, drinking and walking around on his own again! #westernveterinarygroup #veterinaryacupuncture
