1.21.2020 Message from the CMO of Western Sierra Medical Clinic: COVID Vaccines Greetings from WSMC. Our COVID vaccination program is going smoothly. Our team is working as quickly as possible given the limited supply of vaccines right now. We are almost finished vaccinating all those in the following categories, 1. Intermediate Care Facilities... 2. Home Health and In Home Supportive Services 3. Community Health Workers 4. Public Health Field Staff We are working closely with the Local Health Authorities in our region to make sure that all Tier 2 workers are vaccinated before moving to 1aTier 3 and Phase 1b in accordance with State and National Guidelines. If you are in Tier 2, please work with your employer in securing a vaccination site. In many instances, the County Health Departments are assigning each Tier 2 employee to a vaccination provider. We are now working on Phase B, specifically for our patients over the age of 65 with a chronic condition of diabetes or COPD. If you fit that criteria, please contact us and follow the prompts to the COVID Vaccine Scheduling phone line. Our vaccinations are by appointment only and with proof of being in the current Tier being vaccinated. We will work as quickly as we can to get everyone vaccinated in 2021. For information about the vaccine, we have a COVID Vaccine Fact Sheet posted on our website for your review. Additionally, The 211 opt-in site for vaccination information is up & running. In this New Year, we are committed to being a major contributor to the nationwide COVID vaccination program. At this time, the vaccines are only available to those individuals that are within the tier 1 priority list. ... That list includes: 1. Acute Care Hospitals 2. Psychiatric and Correctional Facilities 3. Skilled and Assisted Living Facilities 4. Emergency Medical Personnel 5. As a reminder to our patients and the community, we will be closing at 3 pm at all of our sites today. We will be closed tomorrow January 1, 2021. All of us at Western Sierra wish all of you a safe and healthy holiday.

***UPDATE*** Western Sierra Medical Clinic’s Holiday Clinic Operations Schedule We will be closing at 3 pm on December 24, 2020 and December 31, 2020, allowing our staff well-earned extra holiday time off. ... We will be closed December 25, 2020 and January 1, 2021. The pharmacy at Old Tunnel Rd in Grass Valley will also be closed at 3 pm. Please plan for your medication refills accordingly by utilizing our pharmacy carhop services: park in the designated parking spots and dial 530-273-0182, and they will bring your prescription to your car. All sites will be closed: if you have an urgent medical need, you may call and access the medical provider on-call. If it is a life-threatening emergency, please dial 911 or visit the nearest hospital emergency room. All of us at Western Sierra wish you a safe and healthy holiday season.
