Monday August 17, is the first day of school. You should have your child’s/children’s specific class schedule. The class schedule will help guide your child/children navigate their daily classroom assignments. Our TK and Kindergarten teachers will be holding a parent orientation on zoom. If you have not received your child’s schedule please check their specific classroom DoJo messages. Our office hours are weekly 7:15-3:00. We are here to assist you any way we can. Good Evening WPC families! Hopefully you've all got your supplies picked up and are almost ready to begin our distance learning on Monday, August 17th. If you did not, tomorrow Friday is the make up day (along with meal distribution for the week) from 10-2. PLEASE be sure you get your student ready for a successful year by getting the necessary supplies to help them learn. And now.... Hello, VESD families. Our nutrition services will begin our contactless meal service on Friday, August 14th. Our team will serve meals at all 18 school sites from 11AM - 1PM. Our meal service will run a bit differently than last year’s. Here are a few notable changes: -Only currently enrolled VESD students are eligible to receive meals -ID cards must be presented and scanned (children do not need to present) -ID cards will be distributed this week at school sites along with C...hromebooks -Each student receives a meal pack with five servings of breakfast and lunch -For your convenience, meal service will take place twice a week - on Tuesdays and Fridays -Each student will receive one meal bag with five servings of breakfast and lunch. -Meal service is limited to one bag per seven-day period -Must be picked up at your child’s school (if not possible, please make arrangements with Nutrition Services directly phone 760-245-5221 Please follow all appropriate precautions against COVID-19 when on VESD campuses, including wearing face coverings, practicing social distancing, and remaining inside your vehicle. After you present your student ID, a VESD staff member will place the meals in your trunk or through your window.

Reminder that we start supply pickup tomorrow. Pickup will be a drive-through method. Please have your child/children's name and their new teacher on a piece of paper ready to hand over to one of our runners. We will be placing supplies in your car trunk. We want to make sure your child/children have all the supplies they will need for the first 6-8 weeks. We will have supplies ready for pick up on the following days. As I’m sure you are aware based on our Superintendent; Jan Gonzalez, updates over the summer, we will be starting the school year 100% Distant Learning. West Palms Conservatory staff wants to let our families know that we miss each of our students and their amazing families. Our hope is that Distant Learning is for a short time and we will all be together soon. I heard great things from both the teachers and our parents about how the students did the last 3 months of school.... I want to say well done students!!! No matter what your child experience was the last 3 months of school, what I call crises learning; teacher, parents and students did the best we during an emergency situation. I can guarantee you that what is now called Distant Learning will be a different experience. We have planned and will be prepared to provide the best teaching experience for your child. Our first day of school is Monday August 17. Classes will be held Monday Friday. Each teacher will be contacting parents and students regarding their specific Distant Learning Schedule. As we always do at the beginning of the year, teachers will take the time to set expectations and get to know the students, as well as build the classroom community over the first weeks. Thank you to all our families for being a part of West Palms Conservatory this school year. It is the effort of student, families and staff that make West Palms such a wonderful place to learn and build so many great memories!!! There were many obstacles we had to overcome this school year, roles each of us had to take on, but because of the LOVE for our students we made it through. I wanted our parents and students to know that Mrs. Teri Harps our music director is retiring. Teri and her husband Dennis will be starting a new chapter in their life. We appreciate everything Mrs. Harps has done as a teacher in our District and an amazing music director over the past 11 years at West Palms Conservatory.
