I have left the physical salon space to pursue a safer and hopefully more opportunity filled venture of housecalls. The combination of paying for rent for a salon chair, uncertainty of when I can return to work (salons reopening in SF keeps getting pushed back) and new rules and regulations that limit the services I can offer and the amount of clients I can see are the reason for my departure. For the next few months I will be offering housecalls full time and forgoing a salo...n space. This is a huge change for me but one I put a lot of thought into. Housecalls also offer far less exposure for clients and myself than being in a busy salon with other stylists and clients. It also allows you to set the guidelines you are comfortable with upon my arrival. Before returning to a salon space I would like to see how reopening goes for my industry, if we reopen just to get shutdown again, the impact on stylists incomes with the new rules and regulations etc. It’s been extremely difficult to have any sort of financial planning with the date to reopen continually being pushed back since March. Housecalls offer me a chance for financial stability and allows for me to be at my best for you and your hair. This is and has been a very frightening time but changing course and focusing on housecalls has brought excitement, opportunity and positivity venturing into new terrain. Admittedly I haven’t been the best at getting back to messages. I’ve been severely depressed since the start of SIP. For others suffering depression I know you understand you understand what immediate harm SIP caused. For all this talk of health it seems mental health is not of importance and takes a back seat yet again. My online schedule will temporarily be closed. With taking appointments all over the Bay Area I can’t yet factor in driving time but hope to figure that out. If you want to book just shoot me a text at 415-370-2495 and I will get you scheduled in. For the time being payment accepted will be cash, check or Venmo. I should have credit card services (visa, Amex, MasterCard) up and running in a month or so. I will be taking a 50% deposit on services booked via Venmo for the time being.

I’m sorry but you make an entire industry go months without working to return to work with reduced services and limitations on the amount of clients one can see. Services and seeing clients are how we make our income and they’ve greatly reduced that ability when we need it the most. No government aid programs in the works either. You said stay home and we did it. This is what we get when our industry has been absolutely crippled? Stay at home needs to evolve. If you are sti...ll just regurgitating that without understanding you staying at home have caused this, that’s the circle of life here. Some of you can at least stop acting like saviors cause you are not. I don’t care that others are scared to say this but death or a life of poverty and relying on government aid if I had to choose I’d choose death in heartbeat! Have you ever thought that maybe those that will suffer their entire lives bc of the actions today might not actually want to be saved to live that life out.
