Made it Bali!!!!! 33 hours of travel through 4 airport 3 customs check points and a taxi that broke down on the way to the hotel. Got a new taxi at half the rate of the first. Not sure if that’s good or bad. Now to relax a bit before heading to the job site tomorrow morning.

Indonesia, not only is this the first dark ride based on Legendary's hit motion picture franchise, but it will also be the world's first "IMMERSIVE THEATER DARK RIDE". We are getting more press on our soon-to-open Pacific Rim attraction. Working with Legendary Entertainment to guide this franchise into the LBE space has been a... highlight of my career. I couldn't have done this without the support from my super-wife Oksana who keeps our Shatterdome in order and running in tip-top shape. There are knock-out ideas that were the brainchild of my friends and colleagues Taylor Jeffs and Chris Moschella that form the backbone of the attraction and make it truly unique. Original planning, layout, and model design was done by Bob Baranick. A huge ordeal considering the constraints of the facility. Carol Wood provided original conceptual show set elevation design. No detail was missed thanks to the rockstar Art Directors of Sophia Chan and Vincent S Barbre. They produced a detailed show set package in record time (with a huge boost from Leslie Zipfel [drafting] and Brandon Swick [graphics]) and were onsite through the tough times, suffering through dengue fever, but making sure we delivered a quality show. Kohei Nakajima concepts and designs make the attraction soar. He has too many contributions to list, but is an integral part to the final product. Without Kohei many of Legacy's projects would never leave the ground. From conceptual art to ride system programming, and media integration Ilana Kirschbaum was our secret weapon; who's Kaiju sized contribution made the whole show come together. Eric Carnagey was the glue that held the business end of the project together. Guiding the licensing, maintaining contracts, and client / vendor relations and co-producing the media. His sleepless nights of negotiations kicked-off the project. Roger Lay Jr went above and beyond the call of duty, also producing, and co-directing all the media from the action sequences to the voice talent he helped make sure we were covered. Lincoln Chan, our project manager. The smartest man in the room, and the best client relations person you could ask for on and off site. He is the Jaeger that we were all able to stand upon when times got rough. Sarah Jane who plowed into the production of these projects and brought a level of organization we desperately needed. Her onsite knowledge and experience guided our team members and upped our game tremendously. Ron Fish, Audio Director extraordinaire (plus more). I leaned on Ron way more than I ever imagined. He is a passionate and collaborative professional. Our sessions together really form the show. His technical and creative understanding is unmatched, and I hope we get to work together again soon. Gary Guttman the composer. Gary went through a marathon at the beginning to get the sound just right, but it paid off in the end. I cannot stress how important the score is to making this attraction pop. It weaves a story and heightens the emotion. Daniel Keranen, smoked jumped his way into the project at the last moment to help save the lighting and offer his technical expertise in other areas as well. His presence onsite was felt immediately and helped push the project over the finish line. Frank Ruisch attraction show programmer and last man standing. I've never met a more committed person. Frank is brilliant and the type of person you want to be in the trenches with. I know I'll see you on the next one. ;) Back home we were supported by a fantastic and talented executive team. The stoic Barry Kemper who provides focus, balance, and sanity. Marcus King who's knowledge and wisdom keeps the project in-check and on the rails. Home office support from Michelle Malerba, who made sure we were all taken care of and felt comfortable in our travels, accommodations, and general well being. RC Jennings who is always available to make sure we stay organized. Andy Towe, the all knowing office manger and IT pro keeping us connected and equipped. Our partners Trans Studio Cibubur cannot be missed either: Anindyo Kreshandana - Who wore all the hats for his team. Project Coordinator, Designer, and Art Director. Nana - Project architect, who tried to move all the columns for us, and was always a fantastic hostess. Eric Lesmana - The hammer who made sure all the Indonesian vendors delivered and keep the project heading in a direction the chairman would approve. Putera - The savior of the live action interactive portion of the attraction. Thank you for taking ownership and investing your creative energy into this. Together we captured the essence of the Pacific Rim world and brought an unique experience to Indonesia that I believe is on-par with top tier parks in the world. Congrats to us all!
