Earlier this week, a West Coast Baptist College student hand-wrote a note of appreciation for West Hollywood Sheriff's Station personnel. The note, received by each station member, read as follows: Dear Officer, Thank you so much for your service, for protecting us, and for your selflessness. I am praying for you and your fellow officers. With much appreciation,... WCBC Student (name withheld) The hearts of our personnel swelled with pride when they read this letter. We give thanks for these touching sentiments, especially during the Thanksgiving holiday. #LASD West Hollywood Station Detectives Looking for Owners of Recovered Stolen Property. Please read: Over the past several weeks West Hollywood Station had a rise in auto burglaries, specifically from parking structures. West Hollywood detectives were able to identify a suspect vehicle and a license plate through video surveillance, which ultimately lead to the identity of two suspects. The vehicle and suspects were also being sought by Los Angeles Police Department Wilshire... Division on multiple vehicle burglaries and arrested on Sunday, November 6, 2016 by Northeast Division. While being booked, the male suspect told officers he and the female suspect were staying at a hotel in Carson. West Hollywood detectives used the Automated License Plate Recognition (A.L.P.R.) system that captured a photo of the suspect vehicle near a hotel in Carson. Further investigation revealed a room number at that hotel where the pair were staying. Hotel employees advised a friend of the suspects recovered all of the property from their hotel on November 6, 2016 before detectives could get to the room. Detectives were able to contact that friend, who brought the property to West Hollywood station and turned it over to detectives. Over 130 pieces of stolen property were recovered at an estimated value of $15,000 to $20,000. At this time detectives have identified some of the property belongs to victims from West Hollywood, Culver City, Glendale, Los Angeles and Beverly Hills. Detectives are attempting to identify additional victims of vehicle burglaries to return the property to its rightful owners. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department's West Hollywood Station Detective Leist at (310) 358-4021. If you prefer to provide information anonymously, you may call "Crime Stoppers" by dialing (800) 222-TIPS (8477), ), use your smartphone by downloading the P3 Tips Mobile APP, or P3 Mobile for the hearing impaired, on Google play or the App Store, or by using the website http://lacrimestoppers.org.

Great story about how LASD resources help out during difficult times. If you're on the Metro system, look for Deputy Su Vodrazka and her newest K9 partner Pluto.
