The Weaverville Lions Club 2021 Fourth of July poster with the complete schedule of all the activities and the days and times is now available on the Weaverville Chamber of Commerce website. You can download the poster as a PDF and start planning your family's 4th celebration. Activities begin on Thursday, July 1st and run through Sunday, July 4th ending with the annual Lions Destruction Derby and Street Dance. In partnership with NoRTEC, Smart Center is bringing Dr. Robert Eyler, Sonoma State University Professor and a favorite local economist, to the Northstate via webinar to give 30 minute updates on our local NorCal counties and the impact and opportunities that COVID has created. Main Street Gallery is encouraging YOU to consider their Community-wide Art invitation for the Gallery's March "Visual Music Painting & Schulpture Show." If you want to fill the hours with your creativity, listen to music while you create and have fun while creating, making and selling your pieces, then this show is for you! FYI: The Trinity County Board of Supervisors meeting is scheduled for tomorrow, January 20 at 9:00 AM via Zoom. The California Arts Council announced the opening of its 2021 grant season, with applications now being accepted for all six of its funding opportunities, responding to the current and urgent needs of the state’s arts workforce and businesses. State arts grants will support organizational operations, individuals, and project-based activities; prioritizing relief and recovery for organizations and individuals impacted by COVID-19.
Fresh Off the Press: Weaverville Chamber of Commerce email alert announcing that SBA's Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is live and that Trinity County small businesses should contact their financial institutions to see if your business is eligible to apply for either the First Draw PPP Loans are for those borrowers who have NOT received a PPP loan before August 8, 2020 or Second Draw PPP Loans are for eligible small businesses with 300 employees or less, that previously re...ceived a First Draw PPP Loan and will use or have used the full amount only for authorized uses, and that can demonstrate at least a 25% reduction in gross receipts between comparable quarters in 2019 and 2020. The maximum amount of a Second Draw PPP loan is $2 million.
