This week our two outstanding club Founders, Kathie Nirschl and Julie Brody- helped us celebrate our accomplishments, and officially passed along the torches to our new officers (amidst technical glitches AND Aquarium Wide fire alarm evacuations!) Here’s to the next Wavemakers 2020-2021 term!

Our Speaker’s in last week’s Virtual Aquarium of the Pacific Wavemakers Meeting spoke about adapting to change, and about learning how to negotiate through tough situations. Both topics were relevant and comforting to us in this time of a new normal - (ESPECIALLY when we have to adapt to our surprise guest DTM serving as an upside down Timer through the entire meeting!) We also learned a little more about home cooking - something we’re all doing a lot more of! We hope to see you on this week’s Mother’s Day Themed Zoom Meeting!

Observe: The 3rd Wavemakers Zoom Meeting! Our first couple were just table topics. This week, we ran a full meeting, adding prepared speakers and evaluators, and all functionaries (including the NEW role: Tech Glitch Master)! Keep an eye out for an email with the zoom invite, and more updates on our new temporary meeting day: Thursday! ... Are you nervous about trying Zoom? Who’s heard of Zoom? Clearly all of these super cool animals have been busy keeping in touch with this great virtual meeting app, so we thought the Wavemakers should give it a go! The officers tested out Zoom this past week, and we think it will be a good way to try to keep our meetings going, while continuing to stay Safer at Home.
