Surfers, The Indian Ocean is now at full throttle with storm production and the 2019 peak surfing season for Indonesia is here. Wavehunters' expanded and modernized fleet of boats offer a plethora of sailings for individuals and groups to all Western and Northern Sumatra regions including Mentawais, Telos, Nias, Banyaks and Simeuleu.

The Northern hemisphere swell season in the Pacific is underway, and our South America locations in Galapagos, Ecuador and Northern Peru are receiving the same ground swells which have been hammering Hawaii and California lately. This is the beginning of the peak December-March north swell season. These areas also receive South swells especially as we get into March and April which adds to the consistency and size

As we enter the midpoint in July, storm activity has reloaded in the Southern Oceans and it is looking very much like peak season for all south exposures. Late July is looking like the perfect time to get on a surf trip.

In the South Pacific, a very S-SSE swell is on its way to Central America and Southern Mexico locations for the first week of July followed by a longer run of SSW swells going into the 2nd week of July. In the Indian Ocean, Maldives and Indo both receiving solid swell to start out July, and long range models are showing a bomb setting up in the middle of the Indian ocean for the 2nd and 3rd week of July that will likely have most spots over there maxed out.
