This Wednesday, 2/17, we’ll hear from our very own Doug Fischer, who will tell us about the trip he took to Nicaragua, that was originally only supposed to last 3 months, and ended up being a 15-year experience! While there, he also met his wife Claudia and they had their two children in Nicaragua, before moving back to Santa Cruz. A rainbow over Buena Vista Migrant Camp Last week's rains didn't stop our crews from finishing our infrastructure build and connecting the first few families... at the camp. Since the start of the pandemic many residents of the camp - in which roughly 150 students reside - have had either inadequate internet connections or none at all. Over the next several weeks we will be connecting all residences in the camp to the network so that school children can participate in online learning with their peers, and families can access resources that are largely obtainable online.
