Water Wise Wednesday Houseplant: For a no-mess watering of a houseplant, let a couple of ice cubes slowly melt into the soil of the potted plant. As the ice melts, the soil absorbs the water and it doesn’t drip out the bottom of the pot.

Misc Monday Garden Tip Lilac: To keep a lilac plant vigorous, prune every few years. Cut out a few of the oldest stems, all the way down to the soil. Remove any dead and weak growth. Leave some of the newer growth. Trim off any seeds. This will improve the plant’s appearance and overall health.
