From my Redwood series . After the fires, and rain, the roots continue to connect, and green sprouts surround the burnt trees and the ferns come back . Every morning is a gift of not only another day, but moments within that day, that absorb me. When I bike early down the levee to the wharf, it is a familiar path. I know the plants. I know the Big Dipper and trestle, I know the coots and sea lions. Each day I see this all again, it’s different, even quite different. Today was fog, which revealed spider webs, soft shapes of trees along the river, and behind the fog, the sun is huge. I consider my bike rides, medicine. I try to take it regularly. It strengthens my spirit, mind and body

In 2021, I will still have Art Outside classes. These micro classes have been delightful! Creativity has leaped from the confines of my studio to the vast inspiration from the natural world. In this Wednesday class, young artists will be exploring this outside canvas by creating with natural materials, making large chalk art murals , sketching, drawing, building and painting, all outside. These classes are drop in, but a minimum of 4 classes are necessary to engage in the process of outside art. Please check my website- lindacover.org for more information and to enroll.
