Amazing paddle from Newport to Dana Point. Thank you so much to everyone who contributed! We raised money for a great charity, @awalkonwater, and we exceeded the goal that was set. Thank you to @davew81 for organizing, and to all involved.

A small group of friends and family have challenged ourselves to close out the summer by paddling the 16-mile stretch from Newport Harbor to Dana Point Harbor along the beautiful Southern California coast. However, our Harbor-to-Harbor quest is about more than simply pushing ourselves physically while spending a day on the water with good company. Our primary objective is to raise awareness and money for an incredible organization, A Walk On Water (AWOW), which provides sur...f therapy to children with special needs. Since launching in 2012, AWOW has welcomed over 1,000 families and provided Surf Therapy to over 2,000 children and adults in need. AWOW's mission is to reach every child in need, especially those who have never had the chance to experience the healing power of Surf Therapy. Our goal is to raise funds through this paddle that will provide AWOW with the ability to extend their reach and touch the lives of a growing number of these incredible kids. Happy National Daughter’s Day to my most precious Mia! I am so lucky to have her as my daughter. She is so positive, brave, and strong! Not to mention that she is the world’s best babysitter, and most importantly, she brings happiness and laughter into our lives daily. I can always count on her for a hug, and a smile as soon as I walk in the door. you Mia!

My dad passed on to the next life yesterday. He was the most amazing father I could have ever asked for. He taught me everything I know, and has been with me every step of the journey. He truly lived his life with enthusiasm, energy, and positivity. Above all, he loved his faith, family, friends, USC, and the ocean. I will think of him daily, and gain strength from his memory. Until we meet again Dad, love you!
