Trainer Tip Tuesday: The holidays are always a great excuse to cheat on a diet, but if you're working on not begging with your little buddy, don't cheat! Feeding your dog scraps from your plate while you are eating will encourage your furry pal to beg whenever they see any human with a plate in hand. Once you're done eating, put the food and plates away, and then go into a different area to reward your pet. It's always fun to feed our dogs high value rewards like left-over turkey, but make sure the context is appropriate and you are not accidentally rewarding poor behaviors!
