Crystal's family is also a 2020 Christmas Raffle Winner. To her family Christmas means enjoying each and every moment you get to spend with your family. It is a blessing. Avery, who just turned 4 was diagnosed in 2018 with Chari Malformation of the brain and Transverse Myelitis and had brain surgery in 2019. Avery has 5 and 11 year old siblings. Crystal thanks us for helping their family for the last 3 years especially the year Avery was diagnosed as they spent that Christmas at Loma Linda University Hospital. She went on to say how much they appreciate the Mission. We want to say how blessed we are that we could serve you and your beautiful family!

Tracy Acosta's family was one of our Raffle Winners. Christmas means so much to her, her husband and her family of four children (ages 2 to 9). They are experiencing, together, something they have never experienced before which is love, laughter and a lifetime of happiness! This is their families second Christmas together and their children's adoptions are being finalized!

Angel Stewart was one of our Raffle Winners! We will be sharing the others next week. We can share Angel's story today because she brought her kids along and they were trying the Bike out . Angel is a single mom with 6 kids - they are thankful to be alive because this year they were in serious head on collision. She is grateful to be alive, to have received a call back to her job and a roof over her head. She was grateful to receive gifts because this year has been a struggle. We are glad to be able bring Christmas joy and behalf of all who support the Mission. Blessed Christmas, all!

Here is how it all went down: Debbie A. Cannon, from AcademyGo, let me know that Bank of America was donating facemasks. I call up Christina Kennedy, our HD Food Collaborative partner at High Desert Second Chance, and she is interested too. So I request 10,000 (8000 to be distributed to the Food Collaborative partners and 2000 for the Mission). They came today. Yay! When the box of 2000 arrived we opened it up and within 5 minutes one of our regular neighbors and friends, Re...uben, came to the door with no mask. Volunteer Brad handed a mask to Reuben and then we all went outside -Intern Gerard and Volunteers Brad, Laurie and Hayden who stood with Reuben for the last picture in front of the Mission. Just saw a boatload of cool pictures from the Food Collaborative Distribution today at High Desert Second Chance sure they will be sharing them soon! Collaboration is cool! Thank you Bank of America and AcademyGo for this much needed donation each day we give out many masks to our unsheltered neighbor and friends! - Dawn Quigg #sharingiscaring #bettertogether

We are looking for reliable indi...viduals (over 18) whose can give a weekly (several shifts available each week!) recurring gift of time to support this work.
