In January 2018, Kaiser Permanente, Blue Shield of California, and Health Net will continue to sell health insurance through the Covered California Exchange. As we learn more about the other insurance companies, we will keep you updated.

Today’s Supreme Court decision confirms that the Affordable Care Act’s tax credits are available to all eligible Americans no matter where they live.

Met with Lindsay and Christie to review our first quarter numbers. We had a great first quarter adding new clients, streamlining different procedures to maximize our effort and working hard to develop our social media presence. As we looked at our new clients and how we got them, they were all referred to us by current clients, BNI networking, California Association of Employers, and friends of friends. We are thankful for the relationships that we have with our clients and more importantly that they want to refer us.

It's hard to believe that the Affordable Care Act was signed into law 5 years ago today. Any time there is this big of a change, there are definitely growing pains which continue to be worked out. There have been victories as well: Less uninsured Americans, no pre-existing conditions and many have qualified for subsidy. It's hard to predict the future and what it will look like in the next 5 years.

Every year, one of the organizations that mom is involved in had their annual fashion show this past week-end. Dad was recognized for always helping out with whatever is needed; setting up tables, escorting guests, always having a smile on his face. Will post pictures tonight!!

Thanks to the California Employers Association Mike and I were able to enjoy a fun event at a River Cats game!
