The 12 Foods of Christmas: A Poem by Cody Skelly ‘Twas the night of 12 Food of Christmas and all through the office, Nate’s moaning voice could be heard and was making me nauseous. ... Complaining of eating that thing and this, I reminded him this was a night no one should miss. 12 Foods of Christmas? What is that? You might ask, A night of hilarious joking due to our terrible tasks. Come ready to see a disgusting yet wonderful sight, Of Nate and I holding raw eggs down with all of our might. Do I dare share tonight’s food within this quick satire? Yeah you wish! I would say in my Christmas Elf attire! On that note, come dressed in ugly sweaters and Christmas gear, For this Red-and-Green season only come once a year! Invite friends and neighbors to tonight’s festivities, For everyone knows this is the year’s best activity! Be at Church at 6:45 in all your holiday dress, Ready for singing, screaming and laughing as we eat food in excess. I wish I could keep writing of my mixed excitement and fright, But this is the extent of my vocabulary and just know It will be a Good Night! See more
