On The Move is hiring two full-time, remote (work from home), Disaster Case Managers for the Napa County Recovery Center to provide case management services to ...identified families and individuals who have been severely impacted by the 2020 Pandemic COVID-19 and/or the 2020 Wildfires (LNU Lightning Complex Fire and/or the Glass Fire). THP is looking for a Resident Advisor for Transitional Aged Youth. TLC Child and Family Services has a reduced rent opportunity for a room within one of our Tra...nsitional Aged Youth homes in exchange for the responsibilities listed below. The Resident Advisor has the ability to maintain full-time employment within this role. This role is not considered an employment position. The goal of our Transitional Housing Program is to help former foster youth emancipate successfully by providing them a safe environment to practice life skills necessary to live independently. The room currently available is a master bedroom with attached bathroom located in an apartment complex in Santa Rosa. Rent is $700/month with a deposit of $500. No smoking or drugs in the property will be allowed. Pets may be approved with additional rent and deposit. Services Expected in Exchange for Reduced Rent: Monitor clear household rules and expectations while remaining open to feedback from participants. Maintain open, direct, and positive communication to gently remind participants of household rules or expectations. Build rapport with each participant, and be open to offering supportive guidance as needed. Sustain privacy for all residents, and remain respectful of the participant’s confidentiality. Assist in keeping unit clean and maintained. Report any issues regarding program rules to the participant’s Social Worker or Advocate. Report any property issues to the Housing Director. Maintain Internet account for unit along with an active renter’s insurance policy. Desired Qualities: Clear communication skills, patience, and the ability to calmly promote an environment in which participants value their housing and take responsibility for their own actions. Organizational skills are needed to work together to keep housing clean, maintained, and safe for all residents. Has sound judgment and is able to remain calm during heightened emotional or crisis situations. Candidate is able to maintain open communication with other Transitional Housing staff. Preferred that tenant has experience working with foster youth or knowledge of independent living skills and housing needs in working with transition age youth. Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check, and provide proof of the absence of TB. Please respond in an email with your interest to [email protected].
