"A lot of people stop us and ask why Echo wears goggles. Well, Echo was born blind and the first couple of months I had him, I helplessly watched as he bumped i...nto things; getting little cuts and ulcers on his forehead and eyes that would get infected and be really painful for him. I cried a lot, because I felt like it was my fault for not protecting him. I was desperate for help, so decided to get him a pair of Rex Specs AND IT CHANGED HIS LITTLE LIFE (and lowered my anxiety level). Now Echo can go hiking, trail running with his brother and sister, play at the beach and swim, and navigate any new place without hurting himself. And I can enjoy him living his best life, instead of being constantly panicked and anxious. So while he still slams into people’s shins running full speed trying to chase birds, at least the Rex Specs take the brunt of it! It’s been almost a year and his first lens is going strong! Dear Dr. Esson, I wanted to thank you for the excellent work you did on Maxim's eyes. He went blind so suddenly and I watched him completely change... I felt like I had lost my dog. After surgery, he seemed to see immediately and he recovered very quickly. Within a week, Maxim was back to being the normal "butthead" we have come to love so very much.
