Sara Gutierrez: Recipient of the Biliteracy Symposium!! It is because of people like you that our students still hope for a brighter future! You continue to impact the lives of many students with everything that you do! So fortunate to be able to work with someone who puts their heart into their job in order to make an impact on the lives of others. Earlier this month, Rancho Minerva Middle School had the pleasure of having Libby’s Elementary School Principal César Mora who talked to ELD/New Comers students about Higher Education and all the endless possibilities they have just by being bilingual!
Youth Development Institute (YDI) January 26, 2019 Our Migrant Education students from all over San Diego had a mountaintop experience during this weekend. Students had lots of fun and an amazing learning experience for all FNL youth and their advisors. Workshops prepared youth to better communicate the dangers of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs to their peers, organize and lead their chapter in exciting prevention projects, work on personal goal setting and team development. Thanks to all Migrant Education staff who made this possible! WE ARE A TEAM!
