Dr. Joseph Howarth was a pioneering brain surgeon and is a good man. We have cared for his Koi pond for over 20 years. Today, we joined a caravan to celebrate his 100th Birthday!!! Happy Birthday Dr. Howarth!

Bob Fenner has passed away from heart failure. He was a great guy and has helped millions of aquarists become successful with his common sense and easily understood writing. He spent his life in various faucets of the aquarium industry. His book The conscientious marine aquarist has been required reading and I have gifted many copies to my coworkers. If you want to learn how to be a successful marine aquarist, I highly recommend it. Bob, showed up randomly in our shop in the early 2000’s and was complementary while I was awestruck. He developed into a friend, I had him inducted as an honorary member of the now defunct American Marinelife Dealers Association when I was serving on the board of directors. I never got the opportunity to go diving with him, although we discussed it. I will miss him. The aquatic industry will miss him.
