Talbot is a former race horse. He won his first and only race. He was retired @whisperingmeadowsranch due to a condition that was causing him joint pain in the legs. He was in training to be placed as a pleasure horse where he could enjoy a life after the track with a caring family when he was hit with a very severe case of colic (which is the number one killer among horses). Over the next few weeks endless hours and sleepless nights were spent in efforts to rehabilitate hi...m and help him recover but it was a very long road. Talbot survived and all due to the efforts of Whispering Meadows Ranch and their dedicated staff and volunteers. Talbot grew very fond of those who helped him and decided that he wanted this to be his home and here he stands at our ranch, ready to treat our clients to a breathtaking adventure in Wine Country.
