Happy Birthday to sweet Miss Jenny! She made this fun flower activity with some flowers from her birthday bouquet to teach the children about the function of the stem. We are lucky to have such an amazing teacher/director at our school.

On this day of reflection, I am grateful to be an American and live in a land of freedom. I am thankful to be part of a worldwide Montessori family that values independent thinking, love of community and emphasizes peace education. Maria Montessori was a woman ahead of her time, and even in a crazy, mixed up world like the one we sometimes wake up in, I’m grateful for the hope I have in the future and the children that remind me of that hope every day.
