VVCSC would like to thank Vallarta and the Gonzales Family for their wonderful donation of $3000! We were so suprised to receive it. The family gave $150,000 across the state of California to non profits who help senior citizens. We were unexpectedly given this gift without even having reached out to them. It will be put to great use as we continue to help our local seniors. Thank you Vallarta grocery stores!

A big Thank You again to Boy Scouts Troop 357! We had a great turnout for today’s weed abatement. The group cleared weeds for two seniors. We had a visitor while we were removing weeds What a great group of volunteers!

Spoke with a senior today who, after requesting the items he needed, said, "I never thought I would be in this position. Thank you so much!" Another said, "Trying not to cry. Thank you for blessing me". These are just two of the many comments made by homebound seniors alone this holiday season who will receive a gift from our Santa's for Seniors. ... I want to thank all of you who are participating as a Santa. You are a blessing for seniors who are lonely and isolated from family and friends this holiday season.

This year all of our seniors are locked away. So we will be coming out to them. Would you like to be a part of Santa for A Senior? We are looking for SANTA's to provide a new, not over $25 gift for our seniors that we can deliver and sing along with the delivery. If you would like to come and Christmas Carol with us even better!
Thank You to all our amazing volunteers who delivered turkeys to seniors this week. We gave out a total of 47 turkeys.
Thank You to High Desert Second Chance and Rolling Start for providing turkeys to us for Thanksgiving! Volunteers are delivering 47 turkey boxes this year. Such a wonderful gift for our seniors!
As we get older, many loose touch with family. Life gets so busy and our grand parents, and great grandparents of the world often are forgotten. Please reach out to relatives who are seniors and living alone. So many seniors will be lonely this Thanksgiving and Christmas, without even a phone call from family. If you have a few hours to spare, join us as we go out into small groups, social distancing, to sing Christmas Carols for lonely seniors and deliver gifts from their Santas, December 19th noon to 4 pm.
