A tiny part that can turn your shutter purchase into permanent garbage. Most shutters have small staples connecting the louvers to the tilt rod. These occasionally fail (there are ways to prevent this from happening) and need to be replaced. No big deal, unless, the manufacturer is using some oddball plastic link that is no longer being made in which case your expensive "one time purchase" has now been made into irreparable garbage.
