Connecting with each other has been difficult during the last 6 months. As we've discovered, telecommuting isn't the best for feeling bonded as a staff. However, we must do our best to try. VCSS Chico found a new creative way to incorporate team building and employee connection. They went beyond leadership and development topics and opted for a more simple connection to build trust and working relationships. This week, their team participated in a virtual lunch together. On...e member shared her family's recipe for Butter Chicken and taught everyone how to cook it from start to finish. (Of course a shopping list was shared ahead of time). The team was smiling throughout the activity and afterwards everyone was noticeably more relaxed and decompressed. Bonus, all of the families were able to enjoy the meal at home together!
