3 ‘Get to Know Me’ facts: Hello to my new friends! For those of you who are new to @the_dailyvibe I wanted to share some things about me that you might not know. 1. I became an Alternative Healer over 10 years ago. In 2016 I started an online business doing sound & energy healings and teaching reiki classes. I was one of the first to play quartz crystal singing bowls live on Instagram in the spiritual community. (And still the only sound healer playing bowls to deep house... electronic music for my #plur community!) 2. In January 2020 I enrolled in The Skin Academy @paulmitchellsacramento to merge my Alternative Healing Practice with Esthetics and graduated in July. (Patiently waiting for the covid restrictions yo be lifted from California) 3. I read Tarot & Oracle Cards and am obsessed with doing readings for the ones I love. I’ve decided while I wait for Esthetics to re-open I will be doing Tarot readings again and I’m so excited! Send me a DM to reserve yours) And last, so I guess this makes 4... Uh-hem: Allow me to reintroduce myself, my name is Shannon Nicole and I am an Esthetician & Alternative Healer. It was only a year ago when my business began suffering. Instagram had changed the algorithm and suddenly everything in my coaching business changed over night. I went from doing the damn thing to barley squeaking by and no matter what I tried I couldn’t get back on top again.... I watched as my followers dropped, my posts were hidden from the feed and none of my live-streams were being shown to my following. I was devastated and pissed. How could Instagram do this to small businesses? I realized in that moment building g a business on social media alone was super risky. I was faced with a choice... try to figure out how to crack the algorithm or figure something else out. I decided that I wanted to create something that no one could take from me. I didn’t want my success to depend on what I could or couldn’t do on social media. So I asked myself how I could pivot and embark on a new journey that would be more sustainable. I decided to enroll at @paulmitchellsacramento and add Esthetics to my resume. The journey was amazing. I made the most amazing friends and learn valuable skills from the most talented instructors. At first I was afraid. I wasn’t sure if I was making the right choice but I pushed through the fear and followed my heart. And I am proud to say I graduated Paul Mitchell with honors and I’m so excited to begin my new career. I am choosing to blend spirituality and esthetics. I will be offering crystal energy facials, chakra balancing soundbaths, body tuning, microdermabrasion, LED light therapy, facials and so much more.
