Open to all international Waveski, SUP and Kayak surfers Contest submissions and scoring will be hosted on Clippero A link to the US Waveski Clippero site will be sent to everyone who registers Video submissions MUST be recorded during the month of October

It's been a while since we secured our dates, but we have decided to defy all conventional thinking and hold the US Waveski Open as a virtual event this year to keep the stoke going. As much as we would like to hold a live event, significant issues in travel and other areas prevent it. If things should change by October of 2020, we will run a local WAVESKI, SUP & Kayak Competition to crown the US American Waveski Champ and the Ventura SUP Surf and Kayak Championships. Instea...d of being a live event, we have decided to make the event virtual, which will allow competitors from around the world to compete on their home break for the title of 1st US Open "Virtual" Champion. As with all surf contests, judging will be based on the most committed and radical maneuvers in the most critical parts of the wave. We realize that some may be surfing a perfect 7' point break or 2' wind slop, but as long as your ride meets with the judging criteria, it will not matter where your ride. Challenging conditions will be acknowledged, and we realize it cannot be entirely fair, it will have its issues, no less, this is more about continuing our sport in 2020 the best way we can, for now, not canceling it. While far from a perfect scenario, it will be a fun way to connect online and a semi-official way of naming a US Open Waveski Champ for 2020. Fun times at the Ventura Paddle Surfing Championships this past weekend. Thanks to all the judges, volunteers and other competitors. It was a great time to se...e old and make new friends. Managed a 3rd place in adaptive and a 4th place in seniors. It’s time to improve my little wave surfing though. Definitely Had a Few challenges with the smaller waves and keeping my balance without having speed. Mainly because the lack of abs or leg muscles to whip and balance the board but I had some really fun waves despite. I look forward to next year. Still very surreal to make it back to where I use to live and surf too. I’ll be putting images up of other competitors for you guys to download in this weekend sometimes. I will send the contest organizers a email link where can download them. Still can’t believe I’m wearing a helmet in 2 foot , ill tell myself it’s because the rocks Have to say thanks to everyone who helped me get there between the awesome equipment I’m using to all the help in learning what I have. Well, the 2019 Ventura Paddle Surfing Championships is over for another year. We had the smallest wave conditions since kicking off this event in 2008, but we had the largest number of competitors ever, from all corners of the globe, and seeing how these competitors made the most of the conditions and push the limits of what can be done on knee to waist high waves was really impressive. Yes, we had some of the best paddle surfers in the world here in Ventura, but it wasn't j...ust them, it was everyone who came to compete or just watch that made this event great. This event has always been about the paddle surfing community, and that community met here in Ventura last weekend. To think I almost didn’t make it to the 2019 #venturapaddlesurfingchampionships- pshh. This contest stands out as one of my tip top, for copious reasons includi...ng but not limited to the bling and the greenbacks, though it started with some suffering thanks to fire, wind, and overly optimistic planning.
