I thought this rider passaging was a good teaching moment. The rider's hands are half halting in a continuous motion forward and back. Even though you never see the rein Loop from losing contact there is a stronger and lighter feal to the horse's mouth. His seat is moving more up and down by design. His legs are asking for a medium trot but the half faulting from seat and rein is telling the horse lift up not forward. A note at this level the rider doesn't need a spur four medium Gates. Beautiful Harmony between Horse and Rider.
All the joints from hip to hock are involved in the steppes. The joints stay a little bit closed and always engaged in good collection.
Steve's talking about using an athletic seat or classical seat. This is common ground for all riding disciplines, including two point.
I've been checking every month to see if Coco as the strength and connection to start Passage. This is the first time she produced enough suspension and rhythm. Happy day. Luckily I got a few pictures to share.
Good message about relying on each other. Love the movement in the picture. So few lines Loosely drawn with clear emotion.
Just schooling at home. first one shoulder in, then middle of a flying change hind leg starting to swap leads, the last two are extended Canter
Nice floaty trot all four feet off the ground. Canter engage from behind and lifting in the back. Nice to see this kind of Canter in an advanced test.
Schooling medium and collected trot. Medium , Longer stride longer frame. Collected, shorter frame taller horse, hindquarters still engaged and lifting the front. We had a good day .
I just thought the matching the action look cool. For all you Carriage drivers there is a way you can promote them doing that in unison.
I had someone tell me horses couldn't collect our move uphill in a carriage. They should see this guy. Beautiful
Lipizzan well bent nose-to-tail. Uphill Canter with Rose and her 17 Plus hand Friesian cross. Nice prelim lengthen during a carriage dressage test.
Impressive Giant
In Classical work you look for the Canon bones angle to match, front and back legs.
Beautiful Young Lipizzan. Suspension and Uphill
I have a horse in training that is a favory Topline and siglavy lines. His head is a mix of both. Big eye and straighter profile between the eyes and typical rounded nose.
