Ventura County Fire Station 56

Firefighters from Station 56 are part of a VCFD strike team that is fighting the Mineral Fire up in Coalinga, California. Hot weather and erratic fire conditions have made it a challenge for firefighters. The fire has been ongoing for 5 days now. According to Cal Fire, 19,500 acres have burned and the fire is 30% contained as of Fri., 7/17.

For our residents off of Yerba Buena Rd., Cotharin Rd., Mipolomol Rd., Yellow Hill Rd., and Vedder Motorway, sandbags and sand are available at Circle X Ranch parking lot. Please remember to bring your own shovel. As always, sandbags, sand, and shovels are available at Station 56. Stay safe.

VCFD E56, Fed Fire Ventura County Q72, and California State Park Lifeguards conducted an interagency technical rescue drill at Mugu Rock this afternoon.
