What does it mean to you, to listen with your whole self? Comment below! . . For me, it’s active listening and so much more. It is emptying myself of any preconceived notions or judgments, and really being present and hearing the other person. It is listening to just listen, not to formulate a response. It is reflecting back and mirroring What the person is telling me so that I can be sure I understood them correctly. Sometimes, it is holding space and not saying anything at all but just being there to listen, so the other person can freely speak whatever is on their mind. If someone approaches me and I recognize that I will need to attentively listen to the other person, and if I don’t have time at that moment, I always acknowledge that and asked to set aside time with that person, so I can really hear them.

I’ve been having trouble finding my voice recently. When I read about Spearmint essential oil, I knew I had to try it. While I think that finding your voice (both in thought and in expression) isn’t something you can just grab from a bottle and *POOF* it’s there, Spearmint oil sure gives the gentle encouragement I so needed. Have you tried spearmint oil, and if so, what were your experiences?
