Veils & Tails Photography

I don't often post reception shots, because I'm more attracted to pretty outdoor photos myself. But these moments are as important as any during a wedding! And I wanted to showcase a few, because I've noticed that a lot of photographers declare themselves "natural light" specialists, and many often don't explore the world of indoor lighting. It's definitely something I struggled with earlier in my wedding photog career, but I've grown very comfortable with it. This is in part because within the Tails part of Veils & Tails, I offer studio pet portraits, so I have the gear and the know-how to add and shape light as I please!

A wedding day is really a bunch of amazing little moments piled up into one incredible day. How is it possible that a sweet swuad moment like this can happen just a few hours before the I-Do's, and not feel like a whirlwind? Well, no guarantee that it won't be a blur, but a well-planned day can at least give you the time to breathe it all in. Make time for joy, and not just for the photos.

After a long year, you may be somewhat tired of reflecting. Everywhere we look it's all about introspection and perspective. But sometimes you just need to get out of your head and enjoy a day. So that's my message to you today. Go do that. And bring a furry friend if you can!
