She has now started chemotherapy and will fight this as hard as she can! Dr. Mellien hopes to return to the office and resume seeing patients on at least a part-time basis in the near future. Say Hello To our new Hospital Manager! In 2012, Jenny joined the VCA Bonita Family as a Client Service Supervisor. Soon after in 2016, in addition to her current position, she was asked to become a room tech. Jenny had expressed interest in becoming a hospital manager and was awarded that opportunity in May 2020. She understands the value and bond behind the relationship between clients and their fur babies, as well as the impact we can have in their lives. Jenny Johnson ...is an East Coast transplant who has been in San Diego for the past 8 years. Growing up with an animal-loving family, she knew from the start that she’d wanted a career in the animal industry. She graduated with a Bachelor’s in Small Business Management and Entrepreneurship, with her goal being to open up a dog kennel. After managing a large-scale kennel for a few years, she realized she found greater joy in veterinary field. Jenny enjoys spending her free time with her husband Bobby, stepdaughter Bella and their 3 crazy dogs, Jax, Izzy and Oscar. If she can convince her husband, she may add a kitty to the mix. She’s still working on that.
