Great event last night put on by the AFRC’s EFMP and Global Hearts programs ! A Family Halloween event at the base track with lots of cute costumes and community interaction Karen Cook your School Liaison Busy Bee enjoyed meeting you all!

Operation Homefront is now accepting nominations for Military Child of the Year, ages of 13 to 18. Submissions will be accepted between now and 07 December. You do NOT need to be the child’s parent to nominate. The annual awards will recognize eight outstanding young people - there will be seven branch representatives, including the newly formed Space Force, and an award for Innovation sponsored by Booz Allen Hamilton. Winners are judged in several categories to include volunteerism, leadership, extracurricular involvement, and other criteria while facing the challenges of military family life. Each selected child will receive $10,000, a laptop computer, and with one guest, attend the gala awards in Washington D.C. in April. For more info, visit: http://www.militarychildoftheyear.org
