It’s MY birthday!! (Mrs. Sno Shack) Each year I choose a local organization to support on my birthday. This year I am supporting Epilepsy Society of Kern Count...y . Our youngest daughter has epilepsy and is actually undergoing surgery at 1:30 today to try to reduce her seizures. Here is some information on the organization: The Epilepsy Society of Kern County is run solely by volunteers. We have 1 major fundraising event a year and the proceeds are our only source of income. We receive no other funding. With money from our event we pay our overhead, we attend health fairs and go to schools to educate. We offer monthly support groups and if the need arises we offer financial assistance for medication copays and transportation to dr appointments. We would love to offer other services but currently we are financially unable to. Let’s help them pay some more services for our local families. 15% of sales today will go directly to them as well as all donations.
