Last week our PALS / OASIS Adult Day Program had a food drive for the seniors in our community. We had a great time at our drive thru event! We enjoyed being able to give to our participants an they were overjoyed. We look forward to the next one! Such a great opportunity to assist our families!

Yesterday one of our Ombudsman received the COVID vaccine. He wrote, "I feel a sense of relief and calmness; today I got the Phizer COVID vaccine. It was fast, easy & didn't hurt. It was a benefit of being an Ombudsman- advocate for the elderly in Assisted Living facilities. I got to be in the tier 2 group. I will go back in 21 days for the 2nd shot." Staff at Oasis/PALS continue to spread the holiday cheer by putting together activity kits for the Oasis/Pals participants to do at home. Twice a month the staff mail activity packets to their homes so they are able to enjoy an activity with their loved ones. This gives the seniors an opportunity to do the fun crafts they would normally do with the staff here at Oasis/PALS during the holiday season. Even though the day program is closed, staff aim to brighten the participant’s day by bringing the day program to them. Happy Holidays!
