Getting your tank from point A to point B requires a few key safety measures along the way. Keep these three tips in mind when transporting your propane tank: 1. Transport and store your cylinders in a secure and upright position. 2. Always close the cylinder valve, and if required, seal it with a plug. 3. Never keep a filled tank inside a hot vehicle or in your trunk. Let it sit in a well-ventilated area.

Moving to a new home can come with lots of unknowns, but one thing is always certain. Using propane to power your appliances comes with many added benefits over all-electric or natural gas-powered homes. Here are all the things you need to know before moving to a home fueled by propane: 1. Figure out if you are owning or renting the propane tank. 2. Understand the various propane tank sizes, and make sure the size you have makes sense for you and your propane usage. 3. Before spending your first night inside your new home, you should know what other appliances operate with propane. 4. Set up a safety inspection to confirm your tank is in good shape and is ready for frequent fills!

Each day American farmers work morning, afternoon, and night, to provide delicious foods for all of us. They allow us the starting point to a great meal, and for that we are very thankful for all that farmers do! This National Farmers’ Market Week, we encourage all to support farmers by buying local at your nearby farmers market.

Coming off a cold winter, it’s important to make sure your propane system is still in great shape. Follow these important checklist items when doing a little spring cleaning around your home. 1. Regularly check propane levels in your tank, as well as your grill cylinders. 2. Remove any combustible materials that are within 10 feet of your propane tank or cylinder(s). 3. If you have appliances that have not been used since last fall have them inspected by a qualified service... technician before using. 4. Before you start to dig to plant your spring flowers or new trees, call 811 to consult the Office of Pipeline Safety and have your utility lines marked. 5. Do not store propane cylinders or tanks inside of buildings. See more
