Census Closes at 2:59 am Tomorrow UPDATE: The US Census will officially close at 2:59 am PST tomorrow (Friday morning). Please take a moment to be sure you are counted today! Census data informs federal funding for more than 100 programs, including school lunches (this has provided us the opportunity to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students during the pandemic), education programs such as Head Start, and college tuition assistance. Everyone benefits from this funding, either directly or indirectly. We need your support and ask you to fill out the Census if you have not already done so. It must be done by 2:59 am tomorrow. Please join VACE is celebrating our September 2020 Student of the Month, Dustin Coffey! Congratulations, Dustin! Dustin is one of our Network Systems Technician Program students. What makes Dustin our Student of the Month? Simple, He is tenacious. He studies late at night and on weekends, putting in an incredible amount of hours. He showed his steadfast determination to get an amazing job and provide for his family when he kept studying instead of asking for a leave of absenc...e when his wife came home from the hospital with their newborn baby. He is pulling incredible double-duty caring for his loved ones and keeping up with his studies. His course progress is proof of his extraordinary efforts. Many of his teachers remember what that was like and wonder aloud, When does this guy sleep? He is hardworking, likable, and proactive. He has a great attitude that will serve him well when he jumpstarts his career, which promises to be as amazing as he is! #vace805 #VUSDstrong #CareerTechEd #JobTraining #vaceCTE
