Hi all, For those who are old enough to remember, back in the day 4th of July fireworks consisted of sparklers, who remembers cracker balls,? and snakes to name a few. Snakes were these little condensed capsules that when you lit them on the sidewalk, they gushed stuff that looked like a mini volcano. Kinda of amusing. I know, lame by modern day standards. Hi all, In was 20 years ago today, July 1, 1999, that I opened ActiveLifestyles Fitness Studio in downtown Vacaville. Its difficult to fathom how time has the tendency to overshadow memories. I’m fighting to not let that happen. I’m trying to think about things that I’ve done voluntarily , continuously for 20 years. Well, I’ve been married for exactly that long albeit it took 3 wives to accomplish it. Does that count? I’ve been a dad for longer than that. I guess once that... starts tho, it’s hard to stop the ball rollin on that. Of course there are other circumstances in life that require both longevity and consistency, but our vocation takes a prominent position in defining who we are as individuals. If I’ve accomplished nothing in my career, I was determined to chose a profession that was my hobby. In that regard I’ve been successful and mutually fulfilled. By far, a satisfying aspect of my job is seemingly making a difference in my clients health and well-being. What I didn’t anticipate was the far greater reward of building lasting friendships that inherently go with the territory. The best thing is that as long as I chose to have at it, the blessings continue to add on. How cool is that? So, for the time being , I’ll continue to carry on and selfishly accumulate memories from you all past, present and future without the extra nuptials Thank you all for a memorable 20 years!! Mike
