V3 Electric High Desert

Southern California Edison currently bills nearly all residential customers on a 3 tier pricing model. At the beginning of your billing period, you restart at tier 1 pricing. Tier one is capped at around 375 kWh per month. Once you hit that cap, in most homes around week 2, you will be paying tier 2 for the remainder of your power. Tier 2 is also capped at around 1,500 kWh in the summer, 1200 or so in the winter. If you exceed that which many of you do in the summer ...months, Edison will not bill you at Tier 3.
