Take Action on Climate! There is now a UUFSD social action group to address climate change. Its mandate is to put these beliefs front and center: Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part, and... We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children. Run-away climate change is almost upon us. As Unitarian Universalists, we must act. The Social Justice Action Back to School Backpack Project As we come back to gather as a community, we are excited to be able to support our annual summer backpack project.... We will distribute these backpacks and supplies to children in need in Solana Beach, Encinitas and Tijuana. Bring your donations of new and very gently used backpacks, reusable water bottles and school supplies (only crayons, markers, pens and pencils) to the core area on Sundays.
