Being a Black Belt is more than just wearing a belt, it represents character, discipline, and unwavering dedication. These strengths and more are what make Riyen such a remarkable student and true Black Belt. I am beyond privileged to have instructed Riyen from day one, and it is an honor to watch the tremendous growth he has endured throughout the past decade. This past weekend Riyen tested for his solid Black Belt, which represents his journey from a junior Black Belt to ad...ult. In addition to developing personal growth and receiving a rank that few martial artists ever achieve, Riyen has dedicated his free time to helping others reach their true potential. He has become a great leader in the dojo and is striving to develop the skills necessary to become an instructor himself one day. I can’t express enough how proud I am to have watched him turn into such a determined, young man.
