This past weekend, the USSCLB hosted over 80 high-school age sailors in the 2020 SCYYRA Advanced Racing Clinic! Coaches from all around Southern California were brought in to help these kids hone their racing skills, as well as get more valuable practice time on the water! The clinic culminated in the presentation of the 2020 SCYYRA Race Team on Sunday morning!

The students from last week's Summer STEAM Institute, led by the Dramatic Results team, outdid themselves by creating a nigh unsinkable boat! By applying all the lessons learnt during their week at the US Sailing Center, the students worked together to create this masterpiece of a vessel!

Teeing off on Thursday October 10th, 2019, the USSCLB Golf Tournament promises an exciting 18 holes of golf, followed by a celebration at the Boathouse on the Bay restaurant! Series 2 of LBYC's Wet Wednesday series is all wrapped up! The kids from the Lakewood Family YMCA outdid themselves by picking up another 3rd place finish! They did a wonderful job and we were glad to have had the opportunity to sail with them!

Wrapped up the last Wet Wednesday series of the decade with these fabulous kids and their families! The USSCLB and Dramatic Results team placed 2nd overall in Series 3 of the LBYC Wet Wednesday Regatta! Last night, they all had a great time at the prizegiving reception!

The Kids from Dramatic Results finished Series 3 of LBYC's Wet Wednesday Regatta with a 2nd place! Kudos to these kids for sailing hard in all kinds of conditions! We couldn't be more proud of them!

Our Summer Steam Institute with Dramatic Results was even featured on the news!

It was another great week of sailing with the kids from the City of Norwalk! They spent the week learning how to sail in our Cal 20s, and got the chance to participate in various STEM activities and experiments as well! They capped off the week with a mini regatta, right in Alamitos Bay!

It was a great 5 weeks of summer with the Dramatic Results Team! We hope that every kid that spent time in the program came away with a greater appreciation and understanding of the ocean!

The SoCal Kiteboard Racing Series #2 on June 29th has been postponed. Series #3 will be held on July 27th, with registration details out by July 10th. We hope to see you at the next one!

It was a great day of sailing as groups from both InJoy and Integrated Life came down for a sail in Alamitos Bay in our Cal 20s! Smiles all around!

Stormy weather soon gave way to a gorgeous sunset at Long Beach Yacht Club's Wet Wednesday races yesterday! The USSCLB team, led by the kids from Buena Park High School, finished a strong 2nd!

It was another great Wednesday of sailing for the kids of Buena Park Junior High! Fluky conditions meant that the results weren't what we expected, but at least we had tons of fun!

The last day of our Summer STEAM Institute was a lot of fun as families, educators and community members gathered to celebrate the students' projects! The progr...am uses art to connect to kids, providing arts-integrated education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Math with real-life application. Dramatic Results also provides in-class programs to public schools throughout the school year.
