Getting closer to reopening

We have exciting news!!!!! Michelle’s Books will be opening July 29th!!! Woohoo!!!!!!! Finally! Here are some pictures of what my mom is working on now to get ready for the big day! We have new carpet There will be a few other items that will be new but are not at the store yet! Be sure to stop by but not all at once! Lol. Make sure and tell my mama Happy Birthday on the 30th!!!! This is a great gift for her to see all her friends again! Yay!!! *We will have a mask wearing... policy that needs to be enforced as we have 3 high risk people at home. Please be respectful to my moms wishes. She would also like for her customers to use hand sanitizer upon entering and wear gloves to handle the books. She will provide all this. This is because people like to browse through books and we are trying to keep the community safe and stay open. At this time, the store will not be accepting used books for trade until further notice. The store needs a policy plan for used item intake. We will update you all.* Thank you again for being kind, loyal and patient!!!

Hi all!!! Looks like the store is getting closer to reopening!!!! The repairs are being made. Woohoo! Fingers crossed that the store can reopen in these next few weeks Thank you for being patient. We haven’t had much to update you all on until recently. Stay tuned.

Hello book world! We just wanted to update you all on the bookstore. Currently we are still waiting for an adjuster to come out to the store. *Michelle's Books continues to remain closed until further notice.*... We wish we could do curbside pick up but the building is still red tagged. We are so sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

To All of My mom's Wonderful Customers. We are seeing the light on the other side of the pandemic. As businesses begin to open, unfortunately, at this time, Michelle's Books will still REMAIN CLOSED due to an unforeseen accident that took place at the store a few weeks ago. Ultimately, we are lucky no one was in the shop at that time; however, we are still red tagged and unable to open in the near future. I am saddened by this and my heart breaks for my mom. Please bare with her during this time and don't give up on her store as she cherishes it very much and loves her customers. My sister and I run her fb page and will try to answer any questions the best we can. My mom does see the posts but she's not too fb saavy. Thank you kindly for understanding. We will keep you all posted on a time frame.

Michelle's Books is still open. Please come in and grab your favorite book to read. We currently have a new policy in place due to the Coronavirus. *At this time, we will NOT be accepting trade in books until further notice*... We are practicing social distancing of 6ft and will kindly remind you. Please stay home if you are sick or have been around someone that is sick as we have 3 high risk people at home ourselves. We want to continue to serve our community as we have done since 1993! We have new hours of 10:00am- 3:00pm as of right now. Thank you for understanding and continuing to visit our quaint local small business bookstore.
