Thanks USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences! The Department of Middle East Studies welcomes all of you to our annual conference on March 11, 2020 examining the interplay between material infrastructures and daily life in the Middle East.

Come join MDES for our annual Holiday Party on December 5th from 12:00-1:30pm in THH 256. Refreshments will be served and the recipient of the Mohamed El Beih Paper Prize will be announced.

Come to our Spring 2020 Academic Open House this Monday, October 21st, from 12:00-1:30pm in SOS B40. Enjoy a catered lunch from Sunnin and hear about our spring courses, study abroad and internship opportunities, and mingle with students, faculty, and staff. We hope to see you there!

The first Arabic Language Table of the academic year will be on Wednesday, September 25th, from 12:00-12:50pm in SOS B37 (note change in location for just this week). Join other Arabic students and professors for language practice and refreshments.
