Dear Marshall Community--- At a bit before 12:30PM today, the Los Angeles Police Department was called to our Fertitta Hall facility with a report of an active ...shooter. The building was cleared out as quickly as possible, as was adjoining Popovich Hall, as the police searched the premises. We were truly grateful to hear that they found no evidence of any shots having been fired, nor of any suspicious activity. We so appreciate the cooperation of our students in evacuating the building quickly and orderly, of our professors making sure that this happened, and of our staff for putting all of our buildings in lockdown mode quickly. That said, our people were out of potential harm’s way as fast as possible, thanks to everyone’s good work. As a community, we are committed to the safety of everyone, and we will work hard to achieve that at all costs. It is our intent to protect one another in times such as this, and we appreciate the support of everyone. We are back to work, building our Trojan Community. Fighting On! James G. Ellis Dean
