After a strong start to the Yonex Thailand Open Super 1000, Thursday brought losses for both the women’s singles player Iris Wang and men’s doubles players Phillip and Ryan Chew.

2021 World University Games - Selection Criteria Update As a result of the many enquiries that we have received regarding the 2021 World University Games, we would like to provide an update and clarification on the selection/eligibility criteria. Following discussions with the USIUSF, we have been informed that any high school student-athlete who is enrolled to attend college in 2021 and has received a National Letter of Intent and/or a Letter of Acceptance from the learning institution along with a deposit by the student-athlete confirming the intention to attend, IS eligible to participate in the World University Games.

The 2021 Summer World University Games are scheduled to be held between Aug. 18 and Aug. 29, 2021 in Chengdu, China. This is an exciting opportunity for our student-athletes to participate in and represent the United States. BWF World Junior Championships 2020 Canceled. - It is unfortunate that the World Junior Championships had to be canceled, especially for our players aging out, said Linda French, USAB Interim CEO. We hope to provide opportunities to compete for these players in the second half of 2021.

Beiwen Zhang’s run in the Danisa Denmark Open 2020 ended on Friday in a grueling, three-game loss to reigning Olympic Gold Medalist, Carolina Marin, in the quarterfinals.
