I got to spend some time with Kodiak today. He's doing well and gaining his confidence. He looks quite different with his haircut, but they left the cutest ball of fur at the tip of his tail so it looks like he has a lion tail.

UPDATE 05/21: HCAS has reported that Kodiak/Koda Bear is now able to get up and walk on his own! If progress continues he will be taken into the shelter to continue his rehab so that he can find his forever home UPDATE from HCAS: the veterinarian and her team shaved down and removed hundreds of ticks from little Kodiak. He is doing better this morning and was able to fully stand up and turn around with assistance. We hope he continues to improve and gain his strength. I rece...ived word from animal control today that they were called out to get Koda because he (yup he) was not able to walk. This is very concerning, but he has been captured and taken to the vet. As expected he was covered in ticks but, way more than expected. Hopes are that once the ticks are removed that he will have a steady recovery. I am staying positive and will update as I get more information. Photo courtesy of animal control. See more
