We feel it too...

In response to the recent concerns of COVID-19, Upward Bound Sports will be aligning ourselves with Hillside Community Church and the recommendations from San Bernardino County and the Centers for Diseases Control. We are postponing our baseball and football seasons. This decision did not come easily because we realize that exercise improves your overall fitness, which can help boost your immune system -- the body's defense against infections. However, it’s more important at this time to move forward with an abundance of caution. Especially for those who are vulnerable: the elderly and those who may be immune-compromised. We are monitoring the current situation and will send program updates as soon as we have them.

This Basketball season we started our huddle talks with the story of Exodus and how we can trust God is bigger than any fear we may have. We also talked about Numbers 13-14 and how Joshua and Caleb trusted God when no one else did. We spoke about how we all have a choice whether we will melt in fear, or put our trust in the one who has everything in His control. This week at our I believe night we had 5 kids accept Christ for the first time and another 8 request baptism. God is good and Upward Bound Sports is always honored to reach children and families for His glory!
