Hi my name is Ms. Laura and I’m a teacher at FCC UMDA site. I’ve been a preschool teacher for about two years and I love working in the classroom. I just graduated with my Masters in Early Childhood Education and planning on furthering my education. I believe that children learn through play and develop in different stages. Some facts about me is that I love watching soccer and I also like spending my time bullet journaling.

Meet Ms. Etney! Ms. Etney is a teacher at both of our UMDA sites. You will currently see her as our administrative assistant while Ms. Liz is on maternity leave. She is a student at the Teacher Academy at Santa Monica College working on her associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Etney enjoys spending time with her family, her dog coco, and creating art.

Meet Ms. Kim from Classroom 1 and Group 1 Hi families! I have been a teacher at UMDA for about one year. I am very happy to be part of this center. We strive every day to provide a lasting education in each child that comes through our center. We are a great team with incredible passion for each individual child. I feel very proud and lucky to be part of such a great group of teachers and I’m dedicated to the social and emotional development of each child and make it my goal ...to make sure that each child receives the best care and love that they deserve. I believe a child’s education is the most valuable thing in the world. Knowledge is power. It is amazing to see my students apply the skills that I teach and see the excitement on their faces. I’m a student at LBCC working towards my dual Associates Degree in Early Childhood/ and Human Services. I have dedicated my time teaching children and I must say I enjoy every minute of it.
